Project Accomplishment
The project, Investigation and Verification of Soil and Groundwater Contamination, had continued works in the past few years of Tainan District. Work contents include soil and groundwater regular monitoring, monitoring well external appearance patrol, maintenance and repeal, declaration and on-site inspection of underground storage tank, supervision, verification and inspection of soil and groundwater contaminated site, highly contaminated potential factory counseling, declaration of soil contaminated assessment and detected information, emergency response and advocacy and administrative assistance.
Soil and Groundwater Monitoring
9 land regular soil sampling had finished which lower than soil contaminated control standard and 2 of 9 will stop monitoring next year. 93 groundwater sampling of monitoring well had finished and the results are to which past few years. Also the groundwater arsenic(As) results of monitoring well R00552 which locate in Wu Shan Tou region had continuous exceeded the first category groundwater contaminated control standard. According to the results, it shows that the fact of exceeding standard is related to geological deposit.
Well Management, Storage Tank Declaration and Site Regulation
674 of Patrol and maintenance of monitoring well appearance had finished, include 19 appearance repair, 9 main body repair of monitoring well, 13 nonfunctional well repeal, 30 well condition assessment and 15 intra-well repair.
Declaration of underground storage tank reach 100%, 35 station on-site inspection, 5 station soil and groundwater investigation and 33 station which locate in soil liquefaction area had finished.
575 site patrol had finished and 42 contaminated site improvement meeting had hold. 14 of 17 contaminated site had deregulated, 3 of 17 still regulated because of exceeding the control standard. In 6 verification site, 1 site had regulated, 2 sites still need to monitor and the rest had clarified without any concern of contamination. 200 highly contaminated factory had been investigated and 15 of 200 factory had further counseled.
Report Review and Conference
This project had implement 169 site report review, 117 declaration of announced enterprise, 19 document of underground storage tank management, holding 6 regulation propaganda, 5 campus educational training and 1 technical conference, setting up 2 stand of publicizing for Tainan Environmental Bureau.
